Domain Listings Scam: Don't Fall for This

If you are a business owner, you need to be on the lookout for this mail that looks like an invoice. It comes from a group called Domain Listings. If you read the mail carefully, you will see they are offering to list in their online directory for the very steep figure of $228.00. You will also see that the letter does say that this is for solicitation purposes only and it is not a bill. It looks a lot like a bill through, and I could see how this could be paid by accident by a busy accounts payable department or a confused owner who thinks it is for their domain renewal.

According to the company's responses to complaints on the BBB website, their letter is clear that this is a solicitation and it is not a scam. If this is true, they may want to consider investing in a communication professional to help them construct their mail in a format that so many people are not confused. Don't fall victim to this. When in doubt, ask around and always remember that Google is your friend. There are a lot of remarks online about this particular "solicitation" and a simple Google search brings them all to you for your review.
